How long does one of these take?

Reading a crayon-level explanation out loud and asking one question afterward takes about four minutes.

Adding an activity takes it to roughly fifteen, most of which is the child drawing while the idea settles. A story takes about eight minutes read aloud.

Stopping while they still want more is better than finishing everything. Ending a minute early is what makes the subject come back up on its own three days later.
